XenoSystems' products, services, and Web content, including images, text, and software downloads (collectively, "Products and Services") are owned by XenoSystems and/or by our vendors, who have given us permission to use the Products and Services.

This means that, unless XenoSystems explicitly gives you permission within the End-User License Agreement (EULA) or License Terms that accompany the Products and Services and/or in the guidelines below, you may not copy, modify, distribute, display, license, or sell any Products and Services or components contained in them.

Box Shots
XenoSystems product box shots are complete images of XenoSystems product boxes. You may not use XenoSystems box shots on third-party software packaging, but you may use box shots without XenoSystems' written permission in advertising, in documentation (including educational brochures), in tutorial books, in videotapes, or on Web sites, provided you adhere to the following guidelines:
  1. Your use may not be obscene or pornographic, and may not be disparaging, defamatory, or libelous to XenoSystems, any of its products, or any other person or entity.
  2. Your use may not directly or indirectly imply XenoSystems sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of your product or service.
  3. You may not use the box shot in a comparative advertisement.
  4. You may not use any of XenoSystems' box shots as a link to your Web site. See the section "Linking to XenoSystems' Web Sites" below for proper linking guidelines.
  5. You may not alter the box shot in any way except to resize the entire box shot. Any images contained within the box shot (i.e., graphics, artwork, or trade dress) cannot be used independently of the entire box shot.
  6. Your company name and logo, your product, and/or your graphics should be significantly larger and more prominent than the box shot.
  7. You must include the following copyright attribution statement: "XenoSystems product box shot(s) reprinted with permission from XenoSystems"
  8. If your use includes references to a XenoSystems product, you must use the full name of the product.
  9. When referencing any XenoSystems trademarks, please follow the General Trademark Guidelines.

Screen Shots
To use screen shots or Internet pages that contain third-party content, you should contact the content provider directly for permission.

Except for XenoSystems product boot-up screens, opening screens, "splash screens," or screens from products that have not been commercially released (including beta versions), you may use screen shots in advertising, in documentation (including educational brochures), in tutorial books, in videotapes, or on Web sites, provided you adhere to the following guidelines:
  1. Your use may not be obscene or pornographic, and may not be disparaging, defamatory, or libelous to XenoSystems, any of its products, or any other person or entity.

Product Icons
XenoSystems product icons are the thumbnail-size images indicating that a XenoSystems product has been installed on your operating system. Use of our icons is permissible in training manuals or documentation written for and/or about a XenoSystems product. In such cases, use of XenoSystems icons must be specific to the function of the icon within the XenoSystems software and not used as a graphical element or design for your own purposes. Further, icons cannot be modified or altered and must appear as they would within the XenoSystems software.

Note: XenoSystems does not allow the use of our icons in advertising, in books and other printed matter, on clothing or other promotional items, in online and Internet locations, in software applications, in television programs, commercials, movies, or on videotape, as they are NOT to be used as "artwork" or design elements.

If you are a publisher who wants to include a trial product or an evaluation, or to get permission to include a technology download in your books, please contact intellectual property for licensing information.

Linking to XenoSystems' Web Sites
If you would like to provide a link from your Web site to a XenoSystems Web page, we ask that any reference to our company name or product names appear in a simple font and format and that you use appropriate words, such as "This way to www.XenoSystems.com" or "Click here for more information on XenoSystems" You may not use the XenoSystems corporate logo alone, or any other XenoSystems graphic or logo, to make these links, unless you use a XenoSystems Link Logo.
